“All Ten Brothers Served Their Country”
The men and women who serve in the armed forces are often found to possess many admirable traits, but at the core of these and who they are, you can find courage, integrity, honor, perseverance, and a commitment to the country and the people they serve that is unrivaled. Their stories touch families and friends across the country, including my own.
By the time this website goes live, my father will have celebrated his 93rd birthday. I understand more each day why he, and his 9 brothers, were part of what is considered the “greatest” generation in our country’s history. As a rural Georgia farm family with 13 children, 10 boys and 3 girls growing up in the early 1900s, it was destined that all 10 brothers would serve in the military on active duty. One sister, the oldest of all 13 children, served and retired as a nurse with the Veterans Administration. The brothers served across multiple branches of the United States Military to include the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Through God’s grace only one brother, Fred, the oldest son, died in service to his country during World War II.
I married into a military family, my husband and his father served in the Army. Many of my extended family members, through several generations have served in the military.

As I reflect on the military history of my family, I recognize the many military families in the United States who have sacrificed to keep us safe and free — a privilege for which we are eternally grateful. It is this love of country, respect, and admiration for those who have served, and those who are currently serving that we are introducing and expanding our Memory Bell line to include:
The Memory Bell® of Freedom – MADE IN THE USA
Like our original flagship Memory Bell® we will honor our Registered Trademark tradition with a portion of the proceeds going to support Veterans’ causes.
May the special sound of this bell echo a heartfelt “thank you” of a grateful nation.
